The order for his remand came on Thursday, for allegedly defiling a seven-year-old girl.

The defendant is facing two counts of unlawful sexual assault and defilement of a child preferred against him by the Lagos State Government.

During the proceeding, the state prosecution counsel, Olusola Soneye, told the court that the defendant committed the offences between February 2022 and February 2023

He made known to the court that the two incidents took place at No 2 Abose Street in the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State.

He said the defendant sexually assaulted the victim by inappropriately touching her vagina with his hands.

According to Soneye, the offences committed contravened Sections 263 and 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
