Illegal termination, Court orders compensation

The National Industrial Court ruled in favor of Mr. Essien Aquaisua, who sued his former employer, Direct on Data Ltd., for wrongful termination. The court considered the company’s sale and subsequent denial of access to Mr. Essien’s office and company portals as constructive dismissal.consequently, the court ordered that he be compensated.

Federal High Court Adjourns Arraignment of Binance Executive to April 19: 

The Federal High Court adjourned the arraignment of a Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan, due to his legal team not receiving charges from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) who accused him of tax evasion. The court subsequently adjourned for April 19th.

Court Summons Five Social Media Users for Defamation of Mercy Chinwo and Husband

Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband filed a defamation lawsuit against five social media users who allegedly made false accusations about their son’s paternity. The court in its orders, summoned the defendants to appear on April 23rd.

Police Arraign 21-Year-Old for Alleged Phone Fraud in Ile-Ife: 

A 21-year-old man, Adejimi Adepoju, was arraigned in Ile-Ife for allegedly defrauding a phone seller using a fake money transfer. He pleaded not guilty, but was granted bail with specific conditions.

Bobrisky Convicted for Naira Abuse by Federal High Court: 

Popular Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky, pleaded guilty before the Federal High Court to charges bordering on abusing the Nigerian Naira. Sentencing is adjourned until April 9th. He faces potential imprisonment or a fine.
