The Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Ogba, Lagos State, has arraigned Muhammed Abdul-Lamid for the alleged theft of properties worth N1.9m from the office of Dohney Service Limited Company.
The Nigeria police arraigned him on Thursday on charges bordering on felony, burglary and theft.
John Christopher, the prosecution counsel, said he committed the offences on December 26, 2022, Citing that such offences were punishable under Sections 411, 307(c) and 280 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The charges read, “That you, Muhammed Abdul-Lamid, and others now at large, on the same date, time and place in the Magisterial mentioned above District, did steal four units of Panasonic A/C valued at N1,610,400; one big generator valued at N280,00, and two generator batteries valued at N100,000; total value of N1,990,400 and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.”
The defence counsel, Raji Lateef, prayed the court to admit the defendant to bail in the most liberal terms, as the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges. Magistrate O.O Ogunjobi Granted his prayer and admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in the like sum who are gainfully employed and have National identification numbers.
