The Vice-chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Salihu Lukman, has sued the party’s national chairman Abdullahi Adamu and secretary, Iyiola Omisore at the Federal High Court, Abuja. The vice-chairman urges the court to give a directive to Adamu and Omisore to call for a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting where they will tender the party’s financial report.
The vice chairman had earlier called for the financial statement of all the money that was released during the sales of forms to the general election.
In the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/573/2023, the claimant is asking the court to compel Adamu and Omisore to convene a meeting of the national executive committee (NEC) and present the party’s financial report.

He also asked the court to determine if the defendants are not responsible to convene a NEC meeting to report the quarterly financial income and expenditure of the Party, APC, to its executives and members.
He also sought “An order mandating/directing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd defendants to immediately call for or cause to be called and held the meeting of the national executive committee of the APC for purpose of presenting the financial report on income and expenditure of the APC from the date of the last NEC Meeting which was 20 April 2022 to the last NWC Meeting which held on 17th April 2023 to the members of the national executive committee.”
“An order mandating the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd defendants to set up a meeting in which guidelines and regulations for the conduct of election of party’s executives, selection of party candidates to represent the part in elective offices and the selection and zoning of the leadership of the national assembly to the members of the national executive committee will be determined.
