The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing in the suit filed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu until Sept. 14.
Nnamdi Kanu was initially arrested in 2015 and charged over his separatist campaigns for the Independent Biafra Republic (IPOB).
This movement majorly comprises the Igbo-dominated Southeast region.
In a judgment last year, the Court of Appeal in Abuja dismissed the charges against the IPOB leader.
However, permission was later given by the court to allow the SSS to detain him, pending the federal government’s appeal at the Supreme Court.
