The presidential elections petitions court will today determine the fate of the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi and the People Democratic party, Atiku Abubakar.
This is following a petition filed against the victory of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress before the presidential elections petition tribunal.
As at 6:15 am, accredited journalist who are slated to cover the judgement are already within the premises of the court of appeal in Abuja

Court staff to stay at home
The court of appeal in a memo on Monday directed its staff not to appear in court on September 6 ahead of the verdict.
The chief registrar of the court Umar Bangari announced the decision of the court through a memo signed by Oluwaleye David.
He added that court activities would be transmitted live on all interested Television broadcasting stations, in order to promote transparency and openness.
He said “In a bid to promote transparency and openness, these judgments will be televised live by interested Television Stations for the public to follow.”
“I have been directed to inform all members of staff of the headquarters and Abuja division to stay at home on Wednesday, 6th of September, 2023.
“This is to create a conducive and peaceful atmosphere for special sitting for the presidential election tribunal petition at Abuja division of the court.
“In view of the above, very strong security apparatus have been arranged to man the entrance of the court and also in all strategic areas of the court complex.
“In addition, only staff with tags provided by the management will be allowed into the court premises. Please be informed as instructed.”
In addition to that, it was also stated that access to the court premises would be restricted, as it would be based on strict invitation and accreditation.
“Access to the Court premises will be strictly on accreditation.“Only accredited individuals, including counsel and representatives of political parties, will be granted access into the courtroom”
Interested citizens have been advised to also comply with this, and were inquired to watch from their various places of convenience.
