Bauchi Tribunal Upholds Bala’s Governorship Victory

The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Bauchi State has reaffirmed the victory of Senator Bala Mohammed as the legitimate governor of the state.

The tribunal decisively dismissed the petition submitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its gubernatorial candidate, former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

This verdict follows the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in March, proclaiming Bala the victor of the state’s governorship election.

At the time, Mohammed garnered a total of 525,280 votes, while his opponent, Abubakar, secured 432,272 votes.

The three-member panel, led by P.T Kwahar, delivered the judgment, settling the dispute over the governorship election results once and for all.

This judicial outcome marks a crucial chapter in the state’s political landscape and solidifies Bala’s position as the rightful governor of Bauchi state.
