The Federal High Court in Abuja has set a date for hearing of the Minister of Interiors appointment termination suit.
The court on Monday scheduled November 7, 2023, as the date for hearing the case.
Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is the current Minister of Interior and also a former House of Representative member.
This legal action was initiated by the Advancement Of Social Justice and Economic Development Initiatives.
The suit is aimed at nullifying the nomination, confirmation, and appointment of the minister due to alleged infractions in his credentials, particularly concerning his NYSC Certificate.
These alleged infractions occurred while he was a serving member of the House of Representatives between May 2019 and May 2023.
According to a hearing notice, the case marked as suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1140/23, is slated for hearing on November 7, 2023.
In this suit, Tunji-Ojo is named as the 1st defendant, and the Attorney General is named as the 2nd defendant.
The plaintiff seeks several reliefs, including an order nullifying the appointment of the 1st defendant as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
It also seeks an order of interlocutory injunction restraining the 1st defendant from presenting himself as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Additionally an order of interlocutory injunction restraining the 2nd defendant and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from recognizing the Minster of Interior as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
