Benue:Court of Appeal dismisses PDP Uba’s appeal

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed an appeal by the governorship candidate of the PDP, Titus Uba against the Benue state governor. 

The appeal court on Monday also dismissed the allegations of non qualifications made by Uba against Benue state Deputy Governor, Samuel Ode.

Recall on September 23, the State election petition tribunal had declared Hyacinth Alia as the elected Governor of Benue State.

Not satisfied with the decision of the tribunal, Mr Uba approached the appellate court seeking to overturn the decision.

However, in a unanimous judgment, the court of appeal dismissed his apppeal for lacking merit. 

The court upheld the decision of the tribunal and affirmed the Hyacinth as the winner of the governorship polls
