The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has approved the bail application of former Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele.
The court on Wednesday granted Emefiele bail in the sum of N300 million, with two sureties in the like sum.
Justice Hamza Muazu, ruling on the bail application, mandated that the sureties must possess Certificates of Occupancy and titles to property within Maitama District.
Additionally, he was directed to submit all his travel documents to the court’s registrar and remain within the Abuja Municipal Area Council.
The judge directed that Emefiele remains in Kuje Correctional Centre until his bail conditions are met.
