Court dismisses Ihedioha’s application, fines lawyer N40m

The Nigerian Supreme Court has dismissed Emeka Ihedioha’s application for lacking merit.

Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party sought to remove Hope Uzodinma as the governor of Imo State.

However, Justice Tijjani Abubakar in the lead judgment, dismissed Ihedioha’s application.

Declaring the court lacked jurisdiction and citing the elapsed 60-day stipulation for election matters, Justice Abubakar fined PDP’s Counsel, Mike Ozekhome, SAN, N40m for bringing the case.
